Ahhh Summer

What a great weekend. Saturday we drove up to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon and played around in the water at the bottom of the falls for awhile. We watched a kayaker in the swiftly running and high water of the Provo River. Drove back down and visited Ma Jewel in Orem, had lunch with her and collected some of her rubarb. Spent some time playing at Pioneer Park in Provo and read the memorial there which has a couple of ancestors names on it. Had Pizza & root beer floats for dinner.
Today we made it to 2/3rds of church. Afterwards I made my first rubarb pie ( Grandma Bessies Rubarb cream pie recipe) to take to dinner at moms. Ma Jewel came over and we had a wonderful time visiting with her and Maren's fam. The pie turned out well according to Papa & Ma Jewel who would know as they'd had Grandma Bessie's pie before. The two older kids went to a fireside (by an actual fire), but I haven't heard the report.
A wonderful start to summer! Tomorrow we are off to see the Walter Wick exhibit at BYU art museum. Should be fun!

The Biggest Loser

Ok, I am in LOVE with this show. I am actually motivated to move my fat bum and DO something after I watch it. I did SO good today on my food. Not so great on the moving...but ya know. My friend Amy and I are doing kickboxing tomorrow, holy cow it kicks my butt!
Went to Goblin Valley and Horseshoe canyon with Ma jewel, Uncle Stephen & Aunt Rhonda. My grandmother is SO cool! She is in way better shape than I am!Our hike in Horeshoe Canyon was so great. The sand hill on the hike out about did me in, but it was worth it! The art was so cool to see, I had a super time hangin' with the fam, and BONUS I actually got some exercise!

The wind was kickin' and we had sand in every nook & cranny of our tent (and our bodies) It was a bugger getting the tent up in that wind, but it was fun.

Pics to go up soon hopefully. I am such a slacker... but I am out in the yard as much as I can 'cause it's finally stopped snowing!

Oh and we raised almost $500 total for Autism Speaks! I am STOKED! Last year we made$180. Next year I think we can do $1000!
